Manaus

I would not write all my learnings from today in here. But one of them I realize a bit more is about confidence on the impact and effect. The question though, is not being afraid of the final product, that is the wish, and the Lord’s Will. The are things that does because they are correct. That is good. There are things that one might know. But I wonder sometimes when one disconnects. And analogy could be in Mt 14, 28-31 could explain it well, but it is worth reading the whole Mt 14, 22-32 section.

In any case, good learnings today after a question to L.

Manaus is a metropolis of about 2 million people. Most of the folks are indigenous, or of the region. So it is an urban indigenous city. Only about the 19% of the sewage system is treated before it reaches the streams or the Amazon River.

But the way that the indigenous and the government sees water is different.

For instance, flooding is good for the indigenous people. They use it for transporting. But recently the droughts have been terrible. And they have been moved to parts of the city for long parts of the year.

L. said that there is a saying that Manaus was built with its back to the river.
