The right quotation might be John 10, 11-12. However, I will leave the quotation open to addition for this interpretation that came to me.
It also has a context that in the mountain, a leader does not leave anyone behind, and if the group has to split, the good leader will make sure to have a plan for those who cannot climb, and they will meet again on that location once the other groups reach the peak. I said other groups, because sometimes some groups stops at different levels of the mountain, unless it is a highly “specialized” and small group. Then still might be a small split, but not scatter. The ones who reached their limited a the moment might have still a role or a mission at the gathering point, once the folks who went to peak come back.
It can be idealistic to aim that in a class everyone will pass. But it really destroys my heart, soul, and even confidence at times, if there is a student who gives up, or fails the class. The different tests and levels are meant to be tough. But are also meant to be grasped and understood.
I guess it is not all about rules which is one strong foundation of fairness. Although, the main foundation is the spirit, or purpose, and intentions. Then applies the quotation Jh 10 12-13.
So to follow the Lord with our actions, one although it is not the Lord, but follows his path, should ask for his guidance for Jh 10, 11.
Still, one must give everything in the place that one is.
Well, might be a guide for the rules of vocation could be by consulting the rules written by Saint Augustin, Saint Benedict, Saint Albert of Jerusalem, etcetera.
