Well, not library session today!
Just the heads up. I still write as if I were writing on my paper notebook, without grammar and spelling correctors. The less distractions the better.
I know one can train, set up, and use the large language models to correct my prose. I might start doing that, always after at least my zero drafts, no here though. Those stays as zero drafts. Elsewhere, one must be careful to spot any change a machine could do in my words. Tracking all the changes is always a good thing, and creating new documents as well.
So many odd things happened a few months ago. I still hope for clarity.
At end one does on everyday the best one can do, and one is generous on opening the heart and things one could have to others. What can happen with things is a question mark.
Several folks never open a fence, that is the opposite, but there are lessons learned of the limits of what explicitely can send, beyond saying.
I am glad I listening this evening a song which has crossed my ears in the past, but I did not know the artist, neither the song name.
Carla Morrison, Disfruto. What a voice! What a song! She is from Tecate, which is on the hills of Northen Baja California, at the South Border of the USA with Mexico. It is not far from Tijuana, and so not far from San Diego.
How different is that area of north Baja California from South Cal?
This I do not know, although I have been in Tijuana, many years ago. Tecate, although it is in about the same latitude than Mexicali, I was a bit surprised that the former is much higher in elevation than the later. The later is on the San Andreas Fault. I would need to check details.
Is the Colorado River or Rio Colorado delta near or at Mexicali?
That one might be an interesting place as well.
Oh those wells. But I might understand the need of protection in houses which might scale up to protection in ancient towns, and so the concept of protection in a country.
About the title, bolillo might be a pan de agua, crispy or crugiente. So it might be similar than the palanqueta from Cuenca. We beat them with the name? What a name. The flavor of palanqueta, although, I don’t eat that much bread anymore, just now and then, but is there anything that can beat the bread from Cuenca baked on “horno de leña” I am not sure if wood oven translates the same.
But the making of the horno de lecha is quite a thing, as I recall, it is from adobe, it can have bricks as well, you can even make clay bricks there. Oh right, no need of clarification, because you might do adobe blocks, or continues adobe structures. And you can also do bloque of cement. I do not like those. In any case, you can make the oven from adobe. A key think was to include in the mix cow or cattle bones. Why though? The door is usually from metal. And the base can be from cement. and the structure below it can be from brick.
What about the tortillas made there. Tortillas de maiz, tortillas de choclo. Tortillas de trigo. Made also in tiesto.
I really love the looks, the food, the making of the oven, the making of the food, and particularly the gathering resultant from a great event or simple event where one cook in the horno de leña. La fogota or bonefire is a plus, and somewhere else, closeby outside or in a fire place.
