I learned at least about pink ladies once I visited an apple farm in Belgium.

There are more than 7,500 varieties of apples grown worldwide. According to wikipedia, wild apples were originally from Central Asia, around Kazakhstan and then spread worldwide for domestication. So the fruit that Eva ate could have been domesticated? It is close to Kazakhstan, although that likely was in Iran.
