Slovenia and Slovakia

I won’t usually make the confusion between the countries. I have had several friends from Slovakia. Those contacts might be missing after I closed my Facebook some years ago. While I reopened again, and I do not check it often, the prior account was lost. Too bad.

Yesterday, I learned that friend has Check roots. While now there is Check Republic, apologies for the typing errors, if any, I usually try to avoid any other place to check outside of this screen until I finish the argument. Checkoslovakia covered Slovakia and the current Check Republic. I think the Bohemias are from the Praga region?

Anyways, that might be enough to have the distinction in mind. Slovakia is east of Austria. The both capitals are significantly close between each other. I have a friend who did a year of abroad studies also there.

The Check Republic is North of Slovakia. Is it East of Germany? It should be also close to Poland.

Slovenia, although the name is quite close, they are rather close to the Alps. South and sort of SouthWest of the areas described above.

Slovenia might be boundary with Austria (i am not fully sure), Italy, and to the South to Balkan countries.

I learned today that Peter Sagan, who I do not think I have seen cycling. I might have seen him only once. I started to follow cycling now and then since 2021. Although, a Colombian friend planted that seed, when he told about Carapaz win at the Giro d’Italia in 2019.

I thought that Sagan and Pogacar were from the same country. I learned today that Sagan is Solovakian.

Pogacar, I knew is Solovenian same as Roglic. Beyond that at least from Slovenia I do not know much yet. I assume I know a few things from Slovakia based on some stories from about 10 years ago or so.
