Rest in peace Rex.
Beyond that, there were a beautiful gathering. Summer BBQ.
Things that I came up, which I would need to digest.
Women role on serving and keeping food warm in tradition. For me it has never been about a role, but about helping, and each person doing what they know best. The key thing is to contribute though. Either at the table or serving. As long as there is somehow some mutual understanding.
Mandovi river. It was beautiful to cross it by ferry, which still happens. Now there is a bridge to get to Panaji. Is the other side of the river old Goa?
Anyways, a story I gave some facts, but not all the corrections. I might need to read it in Orvid’s Metamorphoses. Echo was nymph. Zeus was the husband of Hera. At least this is what I am recalling, I might be wrong, so go to the original source. I just need to keep learning until at least get it right when asked or have to weight in. It seems that Zeus liked to play outside of marriage. A nymph Echo likely helped him while keeping long conversations with Hera. Until Hera realized. She cursed Echo, so Echo would not have her own voice but only repeat the interlocutor voice. She felt so much in love in Narcissus. Narcissus, I do not know his background. He was a handsome guy and denied of mirror since early age. He look down in a pond and fall in love with himself. I think I know the story until then. Echo love was not corresponded back. Go back to the original source. My answer was not clearly delivered because I have read second or third sources for that. I do not think I have read Ovid. Were we assigned it in 4th or 5th grade of high school, current 1st or second? I recall the name of Ovid, but not necessarily the reading. Did I skip it? For the time, there is a chance, but also the improbability to actually being assigned it.
Interlocutors were right as well to some degree, and wrong to specifics. At the end, Zeus and Echo are part of the story as well as Hera and Narcissus. The thing is that the potential amorous relationship was with Narcissus, not necessarily with Zeus.
A good evening.
I loved some Mahua drinks. Elephants get drunk with the Mahua tree.
Animals love a good fermented fruit.
What about us? Fermented things to some level might be good. Always be careful of not reaching levels of intoxication.
What about fertility?
Overall social interactions might be good.
Oh, clarity. Skill of writing?
Write more. Stay focused.
