Tasks

Berkeley, Tuesday, July 28, 2026 2:44 am

I would need to decide whether keep typing things in here or not. Updates, although risky, they might be still useful. But this add to time, and might be to curiosity. Then, time management could become complicated.

Also, the lack of details, might become a default of conversation. So while I keep the details elsewhere, the in-depth analysis is worth.

The title does not necessarily represent this content, but writing the title as update create some additional time.

I thought that this blog is not that easy to find. I really do not care if it is found. The opposite, I would rather be happy that some people is reading it. I might be wrong, but I think that some bots enter to this blog? They might be actual people. Who knows.

At the end this is a self-reflection, in a way of a journal, particularly of accountability.

But, when silence arrives, sometimes there is enough time between posts, I can reflect back on activities, which I might not have accounted in the past.

I completed one of the tasks, and an analysis of another one. Yet, it is late.

I also read a bit of Jose Maria Arguedas, Los Rios Profundos, Jose Eustasio Rivera, La Voragine, read about Mikhail Sholokhov novel: And Quiet Flows the Don. Listened to a sort of opera as well about the Don River, Mississippi river and might be others sang by Paul Robeson. What a voice!!

Listened, after long time briefly to Ne me quitte pas by the Belgian Jacques Brel. What a voice as well.

Among other things, i.e. prayer.

I asked to cut oak table, which I use to cover a street light from the North window, which is filtered through the curtains.

The problem is that several splinters flight into the air from the wood piece when I place it on the frame. I thing some were filtering on my left eye.

It hurts.

I reduced the 4 pieces to two now. I will see how it goes. The two pieces are strategically placed so sun light enters in the morning. I set up that, and also the west window everyday. I might not be able to go to see a doctor to check my left eye.

I covered it with a linen sheet, and the other with a sort of turf. But some of splinters still might chip away.

I need to make other decisions, but first get the process done.

Hopefully, I will make to San Francisco tomorrow. I missed, although, I told the bike mechanic in advance, a 9 am appoint yesterday morning.

Regarding videos, which might be based on a conversation, I have watched now and then, and because some broadcasting happens more there or only there when I had to check. Well, I briefly watched a bicycle kick by Pele during a late night show with John (?). Also, an interview during a half match time, where Silvester Stalone was as well. They were likely promoting their film then. I forgot its name now.

I watched highlights of Pele career, I have not watched those, and there is quite a bit of extended highlights of the final 1970 Mexico world cup match between Brazil and Italy, which result was 4 against 1 for the win of Brazil.

I recall I book I was suggested to read in 2019, The scramble of the Amazon and the Lost Paradise of Euclides da Cunha, by Susanna Hecht.

I read just until page 18 then. Also, then, I might be still wonder the speed on which some folks can finish some books. Although, that habit has increased for me with the years. I somehow, screwed it up this year, for about two months, after finishing the book from the Suco Ribas. My second read of the book of the Story of a soul, might stay there, half way, which is 1.5 times, although this one is a different version than the first.

I need to complete the reading of an article tomorrow. And… I forgot where I was… I had to pick up a book another assigned book.

I was on page 95 of the Paul Bolstad book in 2020. That will be harder to carry around.

Other decisions to make. Although, the Hecht book was negotiated then. Probably, I should not have pushed it back then. Although, it might have been realistic.

If rereading now, I would need to restart. At then, despite having marked it in several pages through the book, the continuous read is from more or less the beginning.

Will see how I do solve the splinter issue.

Reading the name, she has similar last name than the dam North of the Yosemite valley. Is there a connection there? Is there a connection regarding political ecology as well, there and connected to one of the few environmental battles lost by John Muir?

There are about four tasks or so left to do tomorrow.

What a influence the environment could have on one, despite walls. Then, it is the thing to say true and grounded.
