I should be doing my schedule now. About the novenas, while I received a good advice on keep doing, and in general it has a good impact. I am afraid that the superficiality of reading a passage and write about it, it is not a good practice.
It has the benefit of learning about the saint, writing a bit about she or he. But the lack of depth does not necessarily makes a counter point. To some extent I would prefer to halt it, while still continuing with the technical and spiritual side reading, write continues notes on an open topic going into depth as needed, or not doing at all?
The fact of being strategic is an important point.
I do not recall since when I left this empty without transcribing some relevant learnings. I know that this is eating some of time, and what about privacy?
Still, hope the only vulnerable in the texts is the author.
There are types of public life. Yet, one goal is to write some learnings. Not necessarily need of discharge things now. Another, it is about searching for solutions, which I will do it soon, in some sort of additional format.
A few days ago, might be six days ago, I learned about the Iroko tree through a metaphor of a lizard who jumped from it. I am ok with the metaphor, my interest is on learning more about the Iroko tree itself.
I also learned a Zambian proverb: “The fire screened by the elders does not burn”
About seven days ago, I learned about the story of the Asiana airplane crash in San Francisco on July 6, 2013. Also vaguely described learned about a car that went off a cliff, reported by a the Redwood City police, but news reported as if there were cliffs in Redwood City. It might have been towards Pacifica. Details are quite important for the whole story or acknowledge an error.
About five days ago, I learned about a Parque Botanico (Jardin Botanico) in Rio Yanuncay. I have not seen that one. I learned quite a few stories. I learned a bit in general about Qualitative methods. A story about why the Fuji water is good. The person explaining was saying something about the alkaline levels, but in some sense agreed that why Fuji water? Even the owners are not from Fuji I believe. I paid attention but do not recall each detail or name, i.e. football players. But music was great and made my life easy to play the guitar, even as a sort of a beginner-intermediate player. This thanks to a cajon Peruano. Great instrument. It gave the rhythm and company to play. I thinks at times sounded great, and others not too bad. I might need a better practice on dealing with reading the notes from the cellphone.
Well, quite a bit of updates, registered in memory and the heart about names, people, activities, studies, their families.
Not a good idea to spend time here. Now time has passed quite fast.
Not too bad to recall the good things, though.
Elections are coming up in California. There elections at the Governor level, but also a house representative I believe. A California senate representative in district 13 or 14?. Oakland might elect the new mayor? A call in Contra Costa County, particularly in El Cerrito to fund or not the construction of a new library or something like that. Plenty of things passed quickly through the news, though quite important for all the Bay Area. I wonder how much attention El Cerrito library receives in the news at any scale. Probably, we are more inundated to national, global news, or not news at all.
I learned a bit about people’s perception regarding the neighborhood boundaries in Nairobi. But I should have listened more to that to get into the continuity of the topic story, not necessarily the funding, although it is not necessarily a bad question.
Ok. Tomorrow to learn about fish passages, particularly of steelhead fish in Pinole Creek. I see that steelhead is a trout.
