Sinking in Lessons from DoR

While there is not usually full grasp of a new topic presented to the self, at least on my case, when there are not additional resources such as readings, this space for some occasions works as a notebook. I do not always take notes. But I try to write down a few later, which as for this case can be a continuos learning.

Showing up to those meetings, might be the important thing.

On 4/30/26 I learned this poem, with two estrofas recitated by heart by Professor K. von B.

Nada te peturbe poem from Saint Teresa de Avila:

Nada te turbe,
Nada te espante,
Todo se pasa,
Dios no se muda,

La paciencia
Todo lo alcanza;
Quien a Dios tiene
Nada le falta:
Sólo Dios basta.

Eleva el pensamiento,
al cielo sube,
por nada te acongojes,
Nada te turbe.

A Jesucristo sigue
con pecho grande,
y, venga lo que venga,
Nada te espante.

¿Ves la gloria del mundo?
Es gloria vana;
nada tiene de estable,
Todo se pasa.

Aspira a lo celeste,
que siempre dura;
fiel y rico en promesas,
Dios no se muda.

Ámala cual merece
Bondad inmensa;
pero no hay amor fino
Sin la paciencia.

Confianza y fe viva
mantenga el alma,
que quien cree y espera
Todo lo alcanza.

Del infierno acosado
aunque se viere,
burlará sus furores
Quien a Dios tiene.

Vénganle desamparos,
cruces, desgracias;
siendo Dios su tesoro,
Nada le falta.

Id, pues, bienes del mundo;
id, dichas vanas,
aunque todo lo pierda,
Sólo Dios basta.

Wake up between 4 and 5 am. Go to daily mass in the morning. Or meditate. Or do exercise. Trust in God and trust in the people. Ask the Lord for help and ask people for help. Delegate, give responsibility. Make a decision together as a team. Have small teams. Let the leadership team make decisions. Do not question every single team. Lead by example. See prayer above from Saint Teresa de Avila in hard times.

Typing this in the library after probably getting some pollutants from an old book, or might be getting more attention to that as I read signs related to that.

I still might critique again that watching a video is not necessarily the best way I like to proceed. But I do understand that it is a mean of communication. Or a media. Same as the author writes on paper his thoughts and then the reader interacts with those. I still believe that written, and particularly printed material is better.

And one can work with handouts, then. Regardless, discussions are good. There are different ways of learning. A video might work.

The author of the video discussed about the conclusions from the devout life from St. Francis de Sales.

A devout life is a commitment. It requires practice and perseverance. For instance, assess if a late night invitation would ruin your next day morning prayer.

Basically is one in this decision or not.

I always wonder if it is a good idea to write in here. Another topic I need to learn is about humility, and the story of Echo and Narcissus. If I am getting this right. echoism is not humility.

Unfortunately, I arrived a few minutes late, and this time, might be this time the video ran early. Sometimes I might need to learn in the future, connection between Sister Faustina and Saint Therese of Liseux.

This was about the Divine Mercy. The image shows that it is coming from the Lord’s heart, but he opens it a bit the clothes to release the white and red lights, which are water and blood. A brief was touched on the prayer to the image, and the promises to delivered the praying soul from Hell’s fire. At least I understood that. I might learn more about this in the future, as it would be presented to me.

I would also need to learn about the link to the quote Jesus, I trust in You. My understanding is that all of this was reveled to Saint Faustina.

Lord guide me.

Saint Patrick used a shamrock, which has three leaves, to explain folks about the Holy Trinity.
