Wow. Time flew.

Well, Sunday was a good day. Already made a reflection analysis of several positives, which were most of them including, plausible my vibes, but there was one comment which I had to look at further. One of them, let’s expand the comment to the whole conversation topic, was correct in facts. The strange part was to make some claims, which while the actual claim was correct, the only judge is the Lord. One never should be the judge(?), at least the personal showing judge. But still it was fine.

The second topic is the reason, which in order of events happened first, and is the reason of this post. Also to honor the person with the claim. Background. And, person not connected to the one who provided the eggs. Thanks to a generous person, connected to first topic above, all of us got some eggs, some had content, one didn’t. Also, what was in the egg, it seems that the sizes of chocolate were different. Thankfully, I got a giant chocolate, which I devoured right away after the meal. Wander why now and then a pimple might show up.

Well, regardless. My question later, why what is all about the eggs? What is the meaning of eggs? Oh I see I recall a third comment just before that, which one might be more careful. At the end is not that good to show off, but much better to listen. Not sure if that is on me, or I have been learned that habit from both a good from and someone who I met again about a year and fourth months ago.

Anyways, one comment was that it means fertility. I said, well from birds. Yeah, that is spring time. So, there is bird hatching. It makes sense also for the shape of the eggs. Now, I recall, things started about myself knowing some folks nearby back home who farm quail’s eggs. I was once at their farm about an hour (huge long distance trip 🙂 away from home). It was a fine experience. But the most I recall was the eggs. An another conversation about Hopkins and the stars from that experience, back around 2009. I recalled Hopkins yesterday evening. Today was mentioned and refuted several times in a talk. It is very interesting how the Spirit lead one, or a question to think further regarding how things happen. But still good to ask questions and to be aware.

But my last part of prior paragraph was a disgression.

Well, my reaction to the comment to a female was bird eggs. It was not taken well, because of course I was not considering the proper human female fertile eggs in the conversation.

So to honor the comment, I read a brief piece, in an easy read, although it is a blog, still it is from Scientific American, referenced in [1].

The author mentioned the pagan Ishtar tradition of fertility, which is a cool one to learn, but concluded that eggs means new life, so Christ is risen.

I love also the focus on new life.

I have not looked at why is there also a bunny in the Easter tradition?

My own thoughts without deeper knowledge yet is that why the word Easter in first place? I think that creates a semantic problem, because it is not similar to its original word at all. Pascha might be by itself hard to understand, which I believe has its etymological roots in passover. So, it is a more universal word to learn and to study, and does not create those disconnections.
