Venerable Sister Lucia do Santos, OCD

by this hour, yesterday I learned that Sister Lucia dos Santos became a Carmelite nun at the age of 18.

I would like to read at some point her account of divine mysteries from 2017.

I do this in the most respectful way.

I was very close to the site, well within hours. I was in Lisbon in March 2017. I had probably 6 hours free after a project. For some reason I did not follow my impulse to go. I do regret a bit that. Still, I was active, and that is life.

I am amaze that it has been only 109 years since the event. But time for us is not the same that time for the Lord.

Arrived about 40 minutes to an hour ago. I ate something, read a bit Of course I am tired. Then, the brain can enter to sites such as instagram.

I might have spent there 30 to 40 minutes.

Still, as one finds odd things. i.e. unrecognized log-in. One asks the question why did I go to check my log in activity.

I saw a log in from 3 days ago from Shenzhen, China.

Regardless, the two-step verification is always a good thing, and probably more.

I entered to instagram to find out for how log I logged-in. At the end when one is tired time might pass fast.

But probably was to find out that strange log-in.

Security is done, but that is a digression of this topic.

Today, I learned that on October 13, 1971, in the last apparition of Our Lady of Fatima, she appeared to Lucia, Jacinta, and Francisco as Our Lady of Carmel, Our Lady of Sorrows, and Saint Joseph… Read more about this story of the miracle of the sun.

I learned that at Stella Maris or Star of the Sea.

On Thursday, due to deadlines, I skipped adoration.

I might go to Stella Maris once per month due to a gathering timing in the area.

This factor might not have that much influence, but it was worth staying in the gathering. I was freak out because of a strong gas smell. Finally, they called to PG&E. On my side, I had part of a meeting outdoors. I freak out with gas leaks, which in this case was from a stove, not that freak out, but take action. I have a friend who passed away in the silent sleep of gas intoxication in a winter in Argentina, probably 16 years ago.

I am learning that the natural gas death might not be by the gas itself, but that the cumulative gas takes the place of the oxygen. So a person might die of affixation. In any ways, such as a danger. And all the time we were exposed to the danger of an explosion.

But my heart told me to stay.

I made a part of a rosary with a friend, during the discernment for the election of the elegible candidates to vote and to be new authorities.

It is a beautiful community.

Community is a strong beautiful word.

While I had consulted before hand regarding the Stella Maris opening times. I missed a bus slow bus, which had a stop in from the church, for buying three apples. My heart was right on not doing that. Regardless, the rapid bus, on the same route and avenue, came very few minutes later. I just had to walk then 4 blocks. That is why is a rapid bus. It does not stops on every bus stop.

The timing was beautiful because I went to the right gates, and someone was just leaving through a gate, who actually guide me and provide me required information.

There were some experiences during adoration. There is at least one mystery that needs to continue unfolding.

But after adoration, I needed to pee. Again, right person at the right time provide me with directions and information.

On the way to the restroom, I passed through several beautiful statutes in the church, which includes Saint Therese of Lisieux, our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, Our Lay of Mount Carmel, among many others.

For some of them there were pamphlets under their feet. I have learned the historical facts I mentioned above, which I was astonished about, from an pamphlet prepared by Fr. Joseph Illo. Well now, I might understand some additional interesting fact regarding pamphlet and probably this area, and particularly San Francisco, but I am connecting this to another priest who prepares great pamphlets and booklets in Berkeley.

There might be more mysteries unfolding here, but I loved the connection between the rosary, Our Lady of Fatima, the apparitions of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, aparition of Our Lady of Sorrows, and I will need to learn more about Saint Joseph in that apparition in 1917.

Other connection is that I learned about Venerable Sister Lucia, just a few days ago, and so I wrote the initial sentences of paragraphs of this post. I expressed some continuous lamentation, which unfortunately was less and less in recent years, for not visiting Fatima, when I was close to it, in March 2017. Those lamentations came back, not too strong but they were there, a few months ago, with some consolation that someone expressed in a good perspective. Well, regardless, things, because life is not about me, I am so happy for the experience lived, and about the connection of several dots.
