A brief novena. It this case, I actually would need to read something, because I know very little about Saint Patrick. Although, the contribution or information by the 2026 novena feast would be minimal, it is important I do start collecting facts. Even if it is a continuous editorial process, as I learn things through time, while visiting Saint Patrick Church.
Feast: March 17.
Day 1. March 13, 2026. “Saint Patrick was born in Great Britain”. Where exactly? “About the the year 385”. [1] Wow! i actually say wow quite often. Quite unaware when I say I do not say.. Saint Patrick. Pray for me. St. Augustine was alive around that time!
More than a novena, I will continue to add bits of learnings about Saint Patrick when I can, because in 2026 it is outside of the cycle of novenas I am doing.
Day 2. March 17. 2026. Saint Patrick died at Down in 461. [1] The county of Down is in North Ireland. I can see that is in the North East, in front of the Isle of Man.
Day 3. March 27, 2026. For endless learning. Yesterday, I learned, thanks to a friend, that Saint Patrick used a shamrock to represent and particularly to explain to folks about the Holy Trinity.
Prayer
God our Father,
You sent Saint Patrick
to preach your glory to the people of Ireland.
By the help of his prayers,
may all Christians proclaim your love to all men.
Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever. [1]
