Udienza Generale 12/10/25 Pope Leo XIV

Berkeley, Thursday, December 11, 2025 00:52 AM

It is great that the transcript from the ongoing Pope’s Catechesis from every Wednesday is published online. However, why the gospel reading passage is not provided there?

One would need to extract that from the video, also linked below.

OK. Update. Extracted from the audio in the video, and checking with the Bible at USCC

Reading Vangelo segun San Luca

Lk 23, 50-54 https://bible.usccb.org/bible/luke/23

The Burial of Jesus.

“50
Now there was a virtuous and righteous man named Joseph who, though he was a member of the council,
51
had not consented to their plan of action. He came from the Jewish town of Arimathea and was awaiting the kingdom of God.f
52
He went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus.
53
After he had taken the body down, he wrapped it in a linen cloth and laid him in a rock-hewn tomb in which no one had yet been buried.g
54
It was the day of preparation, and the sabbath was about to begin.”

Please, Pope Leo, Vatican, add the reading in your notes.

It would make it easier to follow then the well written and well read | delivered catechesis by the Pope.
