This is misplaced in here, but I most offer to the Lord to somehow avoid videos, whatsapp distraction etc.
On the other hand, with the problem of being judgamental, at the end one most distinguish good from bad, there is something called rip current in the sea near the shore. The water circulates in a way that there will be a current going in the direction farther from the shore to the deeper or a longer distance in the ocean. It can be scary to be pulled away from a place that one can touch the feet to the ground. And it also can be completely scary to swim and not making any progress, rather continue going further deep and deep into the ocean. I have been there.
But one good think of knowledge, or to be open to situations in an analogy, is that the the current does not keep going forever. It rather recirculates some water. So one can go to the the beginning of the current or gate, to the be out of it. That could help one to get actually get a further push toward land.
At times it is not any good to fight back. As long as one knows what is doing. Well sometimes even you do not know what you are doing, you might be saved there. But definitely being aware of the situation could have a 98% percentage of advantage or so.
On the other hand, the other current can release to a rock, rip rock, cliff, etc. But I guess one has much more control on the returning current, because it is more calm.
In general, in life one must not be afraid.
But be guided by the Lord. Identify the problem. Find a way to fight or figure out how to deal with the problem.
Now to Saint Albert. The main topic of this post.
He is one of patron saints.
Born Albertus Magnus.
I believe he was born in Cologne or near Cologne. I will check so of those facts.
He was a Dominican. He might be a student of Saint J….
He was a professor or teacher or supervisor of Saint Thomas Aquinas. That speaks already very well of him.
Here is a novena, which should be good because of its source:
https://www.opcentral.org/node/10397
Feast day: November 15.
I should have started on November 6. But I will pray the novena as well on November 15. His feast day.
Saint Albert Magnus pray for us.
Here some information about Saint Albert the Great.
https://www.opcentral.org/node/646
I can see on the map in the website from the Dominican Province of Saint Albert the Great in the United States, how large in the province. I can see it covers the central mid west, which encompasses the States of Michigan, Indiana, Minnesota, Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, Missouri, Missouri, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico.
I see that there is an Intenational Albertus Magnus Society as well.

It is great how a good source connect to another good source.
I believe that time is important. Every person is valuable. Wasting time sucks.

Yet, I do not think the novena was available in one of the largest institutes.
How to start the Novena:
Sign of Cross.
Better if the first beads (Sorry a distraction learning about the beads).
I was saying better if first the beads are prayed. There is a lot of good momentum to be in place or in the right space with the initial prayer probably until the first mistery.
Then do the following prayers:
OK. Well starting on Nov. 7. So iwill do this on day time. I need to pick up something before 2 PM.
I was thinking of transcribing each prayer from the Novena from the OPCENTRAL.org. Mix feelings about transcribing, but I guess that also was the case in the old days. As long as it is well cited. That will be the prayer of the day.
Of course the noise of the keyboard, and the distractions from the screen would be a problem. But I will do it. The distractions of picking up the phone and finding several messages in there.
Daily Prayer for the Novena, which is prayed after the brief first reflection.
[I made another stop of focus in almost nothing. Wow. It is incredible how life can pass, if one is unaware. But also it is incredible how one becomes fully aware, while really working.]
Prayer:
God of truth, you endowed our brother Albert with the gift of combining human wisdom with divine faith. Grant that all who invoke his patronage may imitate his example by studying with devotion, ministering with a shepherd’s care, and preaching the Gospel of truth. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, God, forever and ever. [opcentral.org]
Day 1. November 7:
Saint Albert: Student and Teacher.
God of all truth, you gave St. Albert a great desire to understand every one of your creatures. You also made him an outstanding teacher so that he could share what he discovered.
Saint Albert, pray for us, that as we marvel at the beauty and order of God’s handiwork, we may be led to deeper inquiry and inspired to love our Creator more fully. Intercede especially for all students and teachers, that their pursuit of truth may glorify God.
[Ask St. Albert intersection to the Lord of Hosts in your petitions].
Day 2. November 8:
Saint Albert: Son of Mary
Day 3. November 9:
Saint Albert: The Dominican Friar
Day 4. November 10
St. Albert: Scientist and Philosopher
God of all wisdom, you gave St. Albert the Great a uniquely free spirit to search for truth in all things that exist, including scientific study of nature and philosophical engagement with thinkers outside the Christian tradition.
St. Albert, pray for us as we study the natural world and explore the wisdom of philosophy, that we may uncover new insights and avoid error. Help all scientist and philosophers to seek not their own glory, but to truly desire to understand and glorify God through their studies.

Day 5. November 11
St. Albert: Theologian
God of truth, you illuminated St. Albert with a clear understanding of the sacred mysteries as he studied the Sacred Scriptures and the tradition of the Church.
St. Albert, pray for us, that God may enlighten our minds and make our hearts one through His revealed Word. Intercede for all theologians, that they may be granted insight, clarity, and affection for the Church, so that their teachings lead all people of communion in love and knowledge of God.

Main prayer.
Day 6. November 12
St. Albert: Teacher and Defender of St. Thomas
Heavenly Father, you sent St. Albert the Great to be the teacher, friend, Dominican brother, and defender of St. Thomas Aquinas.
St. Albert, pray for us, that we may understand the insights of your pupil, St. Thomas Aquinas, and grow to love Jesus Christ as tenderly as he did. Guide the work of all scholars of St. Thomas, that they may explain doctrine clearly and build up the faith of their fellow Christians.
[Ask for intersection of Saint Albert to God in your petition].
Day 7. November 13
St. Albert: Mediator For Peace
Day 8. November 14
St. Albert: Bishop
Day 9. November 15. Feast Day
St. Albert: Poor Friar
Facts from Saint Albert Life
There is a statue of Saint Albert holding a frog on his right hand and a book on his left hand. I loved the image of the statue. The statue is located at St. Albert the Great Parrish, in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
I also wander the language of the double nn. It is not that common, but we have it in the two last words of in the last paragraph. Other words from nearby with double consonants are for instance Mississippi. I would need to look into the etymology and language of those words.
OK. Corrections from above. Saint Albert was born in Lauingen, which is in the Southwest of Germany. The Danube River crosses the town. Those are more or less the headwaters of the Danube River. Hw was born in the year 1200 and passed away on the year 1280. [OPCentral.org]
Saint Albert the great had amazing stories now recalling from memory: there is a story about asking to be pulled down with a cord or string on a cliff to see how many eggs a golden eagle lays down.
Now we have webcams in many of their nests. I am not sure if we have the same interest or same questions. I do, at many times. Unless I get to much into the social media and youtube and news noises.
But I have to say that topic is very specific for ecologists. Then the awesome thing from Saint Albertus Magnus was to probably write and understand about the creation, Divine Providence, the natural world. I am making assumptions in the last words. But I think he was not too narrow on a specific topic. Or might be he was at different times.
I would need to read more about his words beyond the shallow knowledge I have about facts of his life, and a few of his work titles.
My understanding is that he wrote a book in sort of geology, mineralogy to be specific. I believe. I am writing things from memory.
What I really like, and this was the main thing of this additional words, is the way that the novena I am following was written. I can make additional changes in the structure. But I loved that that each day have an specific subtitle, which teach something more about St. Albertus Magnus.
There is a brief reading related to that subtitle.
That can be expanded in other novenas for the sake of deeper understanding.
But one cannot be an expert on everything. It is also complicated to do several things.
Day and time need routines, and one must improve those routines with daily repetitions.
I do not know why people like to break routines. Those need to be improved.
