Dating

One always needs to be active in the dating scene.

While meeting the opposite sex is a wonderful thing. There is a lot of things that are important for dating, such as the things that one does in every minute of the life.

I was watching a few videos from Aquinas, where they said that marriage is a mystery.

Also, it seems that Aquinas said that the fulfillment of a person is to bring children to salvation.

In another video from 101 Aquinas, they said that a good woman is someone who fears the Lord. I believe that they cited Proverbs 31:30, which I should reed soon.

I will add additional citations here. And in the catholic circle, the word dating seems that is a bit outdated. The one that is ruling is courtship.

I have received recommendations to read Clean Love in Courtship, I own you the last name of fr. Lawrence Lovasik, well I actually recalled, and double checked. I read his booklet. Full of rules, but beautiful prayers towards the end.

I believe he said do plenty of group activities at the beginning. He also said that is important to know the family.

Probably around month six, this part I need to review in detail, is likely you are seeing only that person. Might be earlier could be better, probably month three. The good thing is that see how things go, but assess continuously. As Pep Borrell said, marriage is the most important decision that one makes in his life. But the priest said that is also a mistery.

Fr. Lawrence Lovasik, I believe said, and this is for women, if there are not clear intentions of marriage by around month 9 or maximum a year, finish the relationship there. Commitment probably was ongoing between month 3 to month 9.

So, it is good to propose by around month 9. Get married around the year of the initial dating. It can be a waste of time, if things end up or break up after a year or so of relationship without marriage. Often people said that is harder on woman, because they are more aware of time. But I said it is hard on both sides. But also experiences are experiences, and always there is a learning from those.

For men marriage is seen same as priesthood. The difference is that one would have a smaller family than the priest. One would need to become more practical in several aspects to bring food to table. But who knows.

Clearly the bible says that is not good for man to be alone. So, the Lord of Hosts, created a woman from the ribs of man.

This is also so true. Because a mission of man is to be a shepherd. I know it can be controversial, but one so often can create a plan a vision. That of course is shared, because intuition in woman people says is better than in man. But man also can commit likely for longer period of times to a goal.

fr. Lovasik created a prayer for vocations to St. Aloysius and St. Joseph.

Of course, he has a prayer for guidance to the Holy Spirit. To Our Lady. Overall the first prayer should be to our Lord.

I lost track of the writing above because I had to check the email.

But it is important to not live together and not sex before marriage. Particularly, not living together. Not sex is also important, and hopefully one does not fall. Though, remediations there could be easier than moving in. I wish the Catholic teaching might be more around, beyond marriage prep.

I believe that marriage preparation length is about six months. So, then. Courtship can be eternal. Ok. But if the decision of getting married is after a year. Then six months of marriage preparation.

So, if fully intentional since day one of dating, or of courtship, all the way to the altar, it might be a 2 year process.

Other folks, advised to read Courtship of the Saints.

I am not sure if I will be allowed in time. But prayer is probably the most important source.

Lord, have mercy.

Also, remember the sacred scripture, and that nothing is impossible for the Lord. And of course He has a plan. Just believe. Increase the faith.

Recall the experience of Saint Zechariah and Saint Elizabeth, parents of Saint Giovanni Battista.
