How to write a lecture?

Brainstorming.

Get started with too little is not a good strategy. But, on the other hand, it is good to get started.

Add sources.

A lecture is first written, and then simplified on the slides?

Yes. Get sources on writing a lecture.

Number of pages and correlation with time.

Structure is good.

As well as list of contents. Even if it might have become overrated, the structure and following the content is one of the best visual approaches I have seen. That is my preference.

A continuous speech also is good.

Then, it comes the written part.

There are those rules of thumb of a slide per minute. I also prefer a clean not so distracted slide.

But I do appreciate more the spoken words than the slide itself. Well both are important.

I might read this:

The practice of writing : essays, lectures, reviews, and a diary / David Lodge. Lodge, David

A bit more here:

First, you tell them what you are going to tell them (set the scene). Second,

you tell them. Third, you tell them what you have just told them (recap and

summarize).

What I tell you three times is true.

Lewis Carroll
