San Jose and Geneology

Berkeley, Saturday, July 12, 2025

I just posted a reply on Facebook. It is hard to in peace and be fully transparent on the public sphere, but that is the goal. Grateful for those who are not afraid of showing true love on the public eye. I always hope that it is sincere.

But also, I strongly believe that the chaos of unstructured communication and to be attentive to everything but not have silence time to be attentive to the Lord is detrimental to our human lives.

The Good and Glorious Lord speaks to us in many ways or through an angel or a prophet, or a priest(?).

Genealogy is a beautiful and ancient thing. We know about it in the Holy Book, many times, in the old and particularly in detail in two Gospels of the New Testament Matthew and Luke. Here a reference for myself, or anyone, which is rather a blog instead of the Holy Scripture, but it has a flow chart of the Lord genealogy as explained in both Gospels. I still need to read the blog. I needed a quick flow chart of the Lord’s genealogy.

A few weeks ago I spent some time reading and watching a few videos of two sites in current Nablus, West Bank. Jacob’s well, where Our Lord had an conversation with the Samaritan Woman. The second site I explored online was Jacob’s son, Joseph’s Tomb, which is located in the same city.

Jacob is in both genealogic trees from Joseph and Mary, several generations before them. Jacob would be their common ancestor’s to Joseph son of Jacob.

Joseph mother was Rachel. Joseph was half brother of Judah, who is the geneologic tree from St. Joseph and St. Mary. Judah’s parents were Jacob and Leah.

In any case, I must learn more about San José, husband and protector of Saint Mary…

It is also my name.

Somehow, I tried to justify an additional interest on learning the genealogy of someone, who I questioned why she was not that interested on that.
