Teaching can not be salary itself, though that helps.
What do you want to communicate, and what do you want the students to learn?
Sometimes we are attached to a book. That is an structured way of teaching and learning, but probably the worst of communicate.
Each of us has something to teach. Does academia allows to explore that light and turn it on?
Still discipline, work, showing up, completing assignments, grading, are key for the working mechanics. But those optimal things are not the only driving forces.
It is great to drive a vehicle well, but often the purpose is to help one to get to another point.
It is great and fun, sometimes to do the work, well that is part of one of the goals.
It was a bad example the transportation. I need to correct that one.
What I am doing is conceptualizing the utilities supply to a city. Can I understand about the environment with it?
Even after understanding things well, I need to complete my work on time, and being disciplined?
So is it my work about water supply or fish conservation?
