A computer, such as the one I am using, but I think in general, it is a limited tool, except for writing, somehow mapping, and some video analysis, I guess other applications might apply. In my case, it feels like having a microwave, but still wanting to cook.
This would varies, but one cannot learn a discipline on a computer. The example above is quite extreme, of course one can create, generate, do many creative things on a computer, and have control of it. So depending how one use it, it is actually a stove, back to the analogy above.
But of course, the food that ends up on the dish, does not start at the stove. I think a good cook start with understanding well health, the landscape, the ingredients, etc. The stove and the kitchen itself, let’s call the computer a kitchen now, depending on each person expertise, is where the cook masters his skills and produces his dishes. But of course without a clear knowledge of the whole purpose of his food, a cook might be limited to apply what he knows, or what he learns, to a kitchen space, which probably did not build himself.
It is so important to always be clear that a computer is a good calculator, and now and excellent place to write, broadcast, etc. But it is not more than a working tool.
We cannot be disconnected only by spending a lot of time on a device, which has internet connection.
